Certified Nurse Assistant at Kimel Park Surgical Center

The Certified Nurse Assist will report primarily to Nurse Manager, but will be available for cross-training. Primary duties (clinical): At the discretion of and under the direction of nursing staff, will assist in all phases of routine patient care (vital signs, collection of lab specimens, ambulating patients, responding to patient requests, passing dietary trays, accompanying patients as necessary); will not perform any tasks requiring licensure and/or certification beyond the scope of an MA. Non-Clinical duties: answer telephones, answer patient call lights, build charts on new admission patients, break down charts on discharged patients. The clinical and non-clinical lists of duties are understood to be ongoing and will be amended as needed and as additional responsibilities are added.

Qualifications

  • Certified Nurse Tech or obtain certification within 6 months of hire
  • Current BLS
