Business Office Coordinator at Bethesda Chevy Chase Surgery Center:

We are looking for a Business Office Coordinator (BOC) to assist the Business Office Manager. The right person will also supervise Registration and Medical Records and be responsible for the business office when the Manager is away.

  • Assisting the Business Office Manager with supervising business office employees and processes
  • Hiring, orientation, performance reviews, and training of the registration and medical records staff
  • Has a working knowledge of accounts receivable, including maintenance of the managed care contracts; reconciles cash receipts to the deposit log
  • Reconciles the cash receipts to the deposit log
  • Assists the Business Office Manager with overall strategic planning of the business office

Qualifications

  • Must be a high school graduate. Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • Two - five years of supervisory experience in a medical setting, such as a hospital, physician's office, or surgery center, preferred. 
  • Experience working with physicians is desirable. 
  • Must know medical terminology. 
  • Prefer experience in accounts payable and receivable.

Salary Range: Min $27.58 to Max $39.99.  Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
