Upper Bay Surgery Center is hiring a full time PACU/PAT Registered Nurse

 

PACU/PAT Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Upper Bay Surgery Center
The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times.  Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge. The Pre-Admission may assume the following responsibilities:  contact, by way of telephone, all patients prior to surgery to assess medical and medication history, review for appropriate lab, x-ray, EKG orders to determine where and when these procedures are to completed and provide preadmission teaching, responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients’ condition, providing patient safety comfort, and privacy at all times.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license in the state
  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
  • 2 years experience in Pre Admission and PACU preferred
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Pay rate: $40.91/hr - $48.00/hr (Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.)
