Imaging Supervisor at Houston Physicians’ Hospital

The Imaging Supervisor provides frontline leadership and daily operational oversight for Imaging Services. Working under the direction of the Manager of Imaging Services, this position coordinates staffing and workflow across modalities; supports safe, timely, high-quality patient care; reinforces employee accountability and communication; and helps ensure compliance with hospital policy, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and departmental procedures. The supervisor serves as the primary day-to-day resource for technologists, radiologists, physicians, nursing, surgery, scheduling, and other departments. The role provides clinical support within areas of competency and escalates strategic, financial, or significant safety matters to the Manager of Imaging Services.

Qualifications:

  •          Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology or medical imaging program.
  •          Current ARRT certification and required. 
  •          Current Texas Medical Board Medical Radiologic Technologist certification or other state licensure, as applicable.
  •          Current BLS/CPR certification required.
  •          Associate degree required.
  •          Minimum three years of progressive imaging technologist experience in a hospital or imaging center setting required.
  •           At least one year of lead, charge, supervisory, or comparable frontline leadership experience preferred.
  •          Demonstrated clinical competency in at least one primary imaging modality; multi-modality experience, particularly MRI, CT, and Diagnostic X-Ray/OR, strongly preferred.
  •          Working knowledge of imaging operations, patient safety, quality control, PACS/RIS workflows, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
  •          Strong communication, conflict-resolution, prioritization, organization, coaching, and customer-service skills.
  •          Ability to make sound operational decisions, respond quickly to changing patient and physician needs, and escalate concerns appropriately.
