Position Overview: As a PRN RN at New Salem Surgery Center, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care throughout the perioperative process. This position offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to contribute to our team without the constraints of regular weekends, holidays, or on-call duties.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
- Monitor and assess patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) during recovery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
- Administer medications, manage pain, and provide postoperative education.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing

Active RN license in the state

BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center

2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment

Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit

Strong communication skills, verbal and written
