Alameda Surgery Center is seeking a PRN Surgical Technician to join the team!
Alameda Surgery Center is located in Burbank, CA. This facility has 1 OR and 3 procedure rooms. Our state-of-the-art equipment allows surgeons to perform procedures in the specialty areas of Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, ENT, Urology and Podiatry. We are accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.
What You Will Do (Job Summary):
The Surgical Technician scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.
Monday-Friday work schedule
NO call required
NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours
Starting pay range is $25 - $45/hour depending on experience.
Required Skills
Education and/or Experience
· High School Diploma or GED
· Completion of a Scrub Technician Program. Certification is preferred.
· 2+ years experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech in multiple specialties
· Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. General familiarity with medical terminology as it pertains to anatomy and surgical procedures for an operating room.
· BLS accredited by AHA
