USPI Texas Precision Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Medical Assistant to join our team. We have 2 OR rooms and 1 Treatment room. With outpatient services performed in Ophthalmology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Job Summary:  The Medical Assistant provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment. Assists during patient examinations and procedures. Obtains and records patient vital signs, provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical and/or procedural services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations. Employees may be cross trained in other clinical areas and may be expected to perform duties other than their normal ones' as staffing and patient needs change.

Required Skills

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Technician clinical training.
  • BLS certification required
  • One Year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified.
