Job Summary:
- Provides shift coordination, staffing assignments based on acuity, skills, and workload.
- Provides clinical oversight and patient care. Intervenes or escalate when patient status changes.
- Serves as the liaison between the care team, physicians, and ancillary services. Leads “huddle at shift start and debrief at shift end.
- Monitors quality and compliance for completeness and accuracy of charting and documentation.
- Coaches staff, provides teaching / feedback and conflict resolution and support:
- Facilitates resource management by tracking , coordinating and replenishing unit supply levels
- Provides education and mentorship. Orients new or floating staff to unit’s workflow
- Conducts safety and environment rounds and reports safety incidents
- Responsible for providing all nursing care services for the post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care.
- Ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care, maintains compliance with professional nursing, Joint Commission, and all Federal and State standards of care.
- Cares for ages adolescent to geriatric

Required Skills
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
- 2 years clinical experience as an RN in the acute care hospital environment preferred.
- Current Arizona RN License.
- Current BLS and ACLS
- PALS recommended (not required).
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Good organization habits.
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
