USPI Aloe Surgical Center is hiring a Radiology Tech PRN.
USPI Aloe Surgical Center is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
This position is an opportunity for a dynamic Radiology Technologist to join a top-notch, Surgical Center. This Radiology Technologist shall demonstrate first class customer service.
Job Duties:
- Perform the described duties in the primary work area and demonstrate competency in the following: IV and contrast administration, orthopedic radiology, pediatric radiology, operating room Radiology, trauma Radiology, GI Radiology, outpatient and inpatient diagnostic Radiology, myelography and arthrography.
- Perform a variety of technical tasks involved in operating x ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body as specified by physician; adjust equipment for proper exposure, voltage and current in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures.
- Determine, prepare and set up medical supplies, instruments and equipment; explain x ray procedures to patients; position patients for each anatomical view specified using immobilization and protective devices as required; report any changes in patient condition to attending medical staff.
- Monitor accessory equipment and assist attending physician with fluoroscopic examinations and special radiographic studies.
- Record amount and type of film exposed; label film with identifying information; sort as required.
- Consult with lead x-ray tech and radiologist to ensure compliance with established standards of quality.
- Process film in accordance with standardized procedures and maintain assigned work area in clean and orderly condition.

Required Skills
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalency.
- Able to read, write, type, and perform calculations at a level generally acquired through completion of high school plus six months or less training beyond high school
- Able to prepare reports and keep records.
- Able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other members of the health care team.
- Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Familiar with medical terminology and departmental supply items.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- State Department of Health - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist.
- Basic Life Cardiac Support.
Education and/or Experience:
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiology.
- Currently licensed in the state.
- CPR required, advanced life support certification required.
- One year experience required intra-operative setting.
- Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
- Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
- Active state license and ARRT license required upon hire.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required
