Providence Holy Cross Surgery Center at Mission Hills is a fast-paced, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
What You Will Do (Job Summary):
The Surgery Scheduler plays a vital role in a successful surgical procedure. The Surgery Scheduler is responsible for daily maintenance of the surgery schedule and all aspects of the scheduling process. This includes strategizing and problem solving and ensuring high levels of customer service with scheduling coordinators from all doctors' offices and operating room staff.
The successful candidate will possess outstanding leadership, communication and customer service skills as well as the ability to diffuse difficult scheduling conflicts efficiently with strategy. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate previous successful/positive customer service encounters or programs.
Monday-Friday work schedule
NO call required
NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours
Starting hourly Wage Range: $25 - $28 per hour depending on experience

Required Skills
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
· High School Diploma or GED
· 2+ years of hospital or medical office experience required.
· Surgery scheduling experience preferred
· Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.
· Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way
· Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet fast-paced demand
· Professional appearance
· Strong medical terminology experience
