Position Summary:

As a Full-Time Surgery Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth coordination of surgeries and procedures. You will work closely with our surgeons, nursing staff, and administrative team to optimize surgical schedules, maintain clear communication with patients, and provide an outstanding patient experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule surgeries while working closely with physicians and patients.
  • Verify patient information, insurance coverage, and surgical documentation to ensure everything is in order before procedures.
  • Communicate pre-operative instructions and guidelines to patients, ensuring they are well-prepared.
  • Serve as the primary contact for surgery-related inquiries, offering clear and compassionate communication to patients and their families.
  • Adjust and manage surgical schedules to accommodate emergencies, changes, and cancellations.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure that the surgical workflow is efficient and all necessary resources are available.
  • Maintain meticulous records of patient schedules, documentation, and follow-up care appointments.

Required Skills:

  • Previous experience as a Surgery Scheduler, Medical Office Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive patient conversations.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software and electronic medical records systems.
  • A team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a high-energy, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and surgical procedures is a plus.
