Retractor Holder | Operating Room

Under the general supervision of the Director of Surgical Services, and the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Retractor Holder is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of the surgical department ensuring patient care services are delivered in accordance with the hospital’s mission, vision, and goals.  This includes patient transportation, maintaining a clean and sterile environment, managing equipment and supplied, and providing surgical assistance by holding retractors during procedures, under supervision.  The Retractor Holder plays a vital role in ensuring infection control, supporting the surgical team, and contributing to the overall workflow of the operating room.

·       High school graduate or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

·       Previous clinical experience in Operating Room environment desired.

·       Current BLS certification required.
