Mercy Surgery Center has a PRN opening for Environment Services.   

 

Mercy Surgery Center is a fast-paced, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.  

 

What You Will Do   (Job Summary):

Performs routine duties for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe and pristine environment in all areas of the facility in accordance with UPSI quality standards. This position assumes other responsibilities to facilitate a safe and effective operation of the facility and patient services. 

 Key Duties Include:  

·        Monitor the facility for cleanliness before and during business hours.

·        Damp dusts all horizontal surfaces including furniture, lights, booms, and equipment using a clean, lint-free cloth moistened with a facility-approved detergent/disinfectant.

·        Cleans necessary items brought from areas outside the restricted area.

·        Assesses the perioperative environment frequently for cleanliness.

·        Ensures that contaminated laundry is disposed of appropriately.

·        Handles contaminated disposable and reusable items safely and according to facility policies and state and federal regulations.

 

Monday-Friday daytime work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

 

Starting Pay Range is $19 to $25 per hour, depending on experience

 

 


Required Skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • Housekeeping/Environment Services experience in hospital or medical center setting
