Northwest Portland ASC is looking for a Surgical First Assistant  (CSFA) to join our team!

 

Northwest Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is a multi-specialty, ambulatory surgical center located in the northwest section of Portland, OR.   We believe health and care are inseparable. We focus on offering a high quality, service-oriented environment for all surgical procedures. Our facility is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. 

 

What You Will Do   (Job Summary): 

Functions as a First Assistant during surgical incision, excision, and repair of pathology and throughout the perioperative period on procedures for which privileges have been granted. Supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

 

  • Monday-Friday work schedule!
  • NO call required!
  • NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours!

Required Skills

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Completion of Surgical Technician training program.   Certification required by state.  
  • Completion of a Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) program
  • 2+ years Surgical Technician experience.   Experience should include orthopedic and general procedures.  
  • CPR and ACLS accredited by AHA required
  • Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
  • Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
