Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Memorial Village is hiring a Surgical Technologist PRN

USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Memorial Village is seeking a motivated Surgical Technologist to join our teamWe have 8 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Colon Rectal, Neurological, GYN, Oculoplastic, Orthopedic, ENT, Pain Management, Podiatry, General, Plastic & Reconstructive, Urology, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day. 

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
  • Ensure the sterile field are maintained, and all surgical equipment is properly prepared
  • Anticipate needs of the surgical team to promote efficient and safe operations
  • Support room turnover, equipment sterilization, and instrument readiness
  • Maintain accurate count of instruments, sponges, and sharps
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards
  • Collaborate with circulating nurses and anesthesia staff for seamless patient care
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Must hold a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through NBSTSA, or an equivalent nationally recognized surgical technology credential (e.g., NCCT Tech in Surgery – Certified [TS-C]) if accepted by the facility’s governing body.
  • BLS certification required
  • 1+ years of experience in an operating room setting preferred
  • Familiarity with a range of specialties such as Orthopedics, ENT, GI, Ophthalmology, and General Surgery is a plus
