Director of Materials Management

North Central Surgical Center is a highly successful, Baylor Scott & White affiliated hospital located in Dallas, TX.  We partner with the very best team members and medical staff in the area.  We are a surgical focused hospital that performs over 12,000 procedures per year. 

FACTS ABOUT NORTH CENTRAL: Opened in 2005, 14 Operating Rooms and 30 Medical/Surgical Patient Rooms.  We are conveniently located at Walnut Hill & 75 in the prestigious NorthPark area Specialties include: Orthopedics, Spine, General Surgery, Pain Management, Urology, GI/Endoscopy, Plastic, and Podiatry surgeries. Under the direction of the Regional Director of Materials Management, the Director of Materials Management oversees all departmental functions to support the hospital’s mission, vision, and goals. This position identifies and implements cost-effective systems and ensures resource availability, aligned with business trends and customer needs across the main hospital and ambulatory surgery center. The Director establishes strong working relationships with patients, physicians, staff, volunteers, and vendors and collaborates with senior management to achieve facility objectives.

Education
• High school diploma required.
• College degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.

Licensure/Certification
• No specific certifications required; however, certifications in Supply Chain Management or Inventory Control 
are beneficial.

Specific Job Experience
• Minimum of five years’ purchasing experience in a healthcare environment. Experience with automated supply systems and Just-In-Time inventory practices in a hospital setting preferred.
