Receptionist at Gastroenterology East, P.A. & Endoscopy Center:

·       Operates telephone system including receiving incoming calls, taking messages, identify nature of business and call.

·       Performs clerical duties including distribution of mail and messages, monitoring office supplies, and maintaining postage meter. 

·       Assist with chart preparation.

·       Assist with Admissions.  

·       Check in pre-op patients.

·       Copy identification and insurance.  

·       Communication with Pre-Op nursing staff.

·       Collect patient responsibility as determined by the Insurance Verifier.

·       Provide relief to Admitting, Office Assistant, and Scheduling as required.

Qualifications

·       High School Diploma or GED

·       One to three months of related experience and/or training. 

·       Or Equivalent combination of education and experience. 

·       Communication skills: ability to effectively present information to patients, physicians, and other employees of surgery center. 

·       Basic math skills.
