Grass Valley Surgery Center, is seeking a motivated Surgical Technologist - PRN to join our team.
Grass Valley Surgery Center is a fast-paced, multi-specialty Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.
What You Will Do (Job Summary):
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Prepares and maintains supplies, instruments and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.
Monday-Friday work schedule
NO call required
NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours
Starting Pay Range is $35 to $40, depending on experience.
Required Skills
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program or previous surgical technician experience 2+ years. Certification preferred
- Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred. Experience in supporting in the following specialties is a plus: Orthopedics, ENT, General, GI, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology.
- Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
- Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
