Gastrointestinal Technician (GI Tech) at Tuscan Surgery Center at Las Colinas:

Assists endoscopy team with patients who are having procedures at the facility.  Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning of the patient care areas. The Endo Tech is responsible for the provision of care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. Provides a centralized distribution and control of supplies and equipment to the facility.  In charge of shipping and receiving, stores prepared articles and supplies in designated areas.  Maintains and tracks inventory according to facility procedures

Qualifications

  • One year experience GI experience preferred 
  • Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories
  • Patient Interviewing skills
  • Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols
  • Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
  • Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation.
