Houston Physicians' Hospital is hiring a Full Time Operating Room Manager!

 

Houston Physicians' Hospital is seeking an Operating Room Manager. The Nurse Manager is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI’s mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The Nurse Manager works with Senior Management in meeting facility safety, quality, customer service, and financial goals. Oversees surgery and sterile processing services. Assists as RN Circulator and Scrub Tech as necessary.

Operating Room Nurse Manager at Houston Physicians' Hospital

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing – BSN preferred
  • Licensure: Current license as a VA Registered Nurse
  • Certifications: BLS required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days; CNOR preferred
  • Experience:
    • Clinical – minimum 2 years’ OR experience required
    • Supervisory - prior leadership/management experience preferred
  • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Independent decision making skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Advocate of patient safety and quality of care
  • Provide leadership and support in developing and maintaining effective relationships with the center staff and the medical staff
  • Establish, maintain, analyze, and evaluated standards of nursing care within the Center in compliance with professional nursing standards and recommended perioperative procedures
  • Recruitment, retention, staffing, and supervision of nursing personnel
  • Is available for guidance, counseling and support as needed by the nursing staff
  • Holds individual employees accountable for assigned responsibilities and individual
