Admission/PACU Registered Nurse at Endoscopy Center of Southern California

 

Job Summary:


The Admission/PACU Nurse is responsible for the teamwork and coordination of nursing care to include the collection and analysis of assessment data in determining nursing diagnosis, identification of expected outcomes and development of plan of care in collaboration with the patient/family and other interdisciplinary team members as appropriate. The Pre Admissions Nurse identifies interventions to attain expected outcomes, implements the interventions identified in the plan of care, evaluates the progress of the patient/family toward attainment of outcomes, and documents the process. This care includes sensitivity to age specific and unique needs of the patient/family. While the performing the PACU Registered Nurse duties provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Pay Range: $40.00 - $62.00/hour

Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an employee’s qualifications and experience.

Required Skills

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing

  • Active RN license in the state

  • BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center

  • 2 years of experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred

  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment

  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
