Northwest Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is a multi-specialty, ambulatory surgical center located in the northwest section of Portland, OR. We believe health and care are inseparable. What You Will Do (Job Summary):
Provides direct patient care by assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport. Maintains a clean and orderly patient care environment. Assists during patient examinations and procedures. Obtains and records patient vital signs, provides nutritional intake and reports results and observations. Communicates with patients regarding pre-op instructions and assists RNs as needed. Demonstrates the primary goal of efficiently providing surgical services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations. Perform pre-admission functions including, calling patients prior to surgery to review medical and medication history, review for appropriate lab, x-ray, EKG orders, and collect patient paperwork.
Monday-Friday daytime work schedule
NO call required
NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of Nurses Aide or Medical Assistant training program
- CNA or MA certification required
- Patient care and medical office experience needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification accredited by AHA
