Job Summary:
- Responsible for timely and accurate verification of all patients scheduled for surgery.
- Using required insurance verification forms, the verifier will obtain all required information from the insurance carrier and document in the centers PAS.
- The verifier will also calculate patient responsibility and contact them for any amounts due.
- Verify all scheduled cases 5-7 prior to date of service
- Coordinate with scheduler to ensure add-on’s are verified prior to date of service.
- Utilize on-line verification resources provided to the center.
- Contact physician or patient for any missing or needed information to complete registration.
- Update patient demographics/information in centers PAS system.
- Ensure insurance verification forms include all needed information to accurately calculate the patient’s responsibility and collect these monies up-front
- Insurance verification details entered into AdvantX are complete. These include: pre-authorization details, claims adjuster contact info, patient responsibility
- Work with Business Office Manager and/or Materials Manager to include estimates/quotes for implants if applicable.
- OON notifications are sent to any payer that is not contracted with the facility and evidence is kept at center.
- Receives, screens, and routes incoming calls in a professional manner by the third ring.
- Is crossed trained to effectively perform other business office duties as assigned.

Required Skills
Qualifications:
- High School education and/or equivalent
- Up to one year of related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Shall have demonstrated computer skills.
