North Central Surgical Center is currently seeking an RN Quality Coordinator to join the team in the Quality & Risk Management Department.   The Quality Coordinator will provide assistance with all aspects of Quality, Risk Management, Patient Safety, Infection Prevention & Control, and Employee Health under the direction of the Director of Quality and Risk Management.

  • Manages the Policy and Procedure flow through the organization.
  • Manages the hospital’s Core Measure data abstraction and reporting to PCC.
  • Performs OPPE data review and prepares summary report for physician leadership.
  • Analyzes data provided from a variety of metrics such as departmental metrics and QAPI auditing.
  • Assists with preparation of Joint Commission reports.
  • Assists in the preparation for Patient Care Committee and other QAPI meetings, as needed and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Creates and delivers educational presentations for identified learning needs related to QAPI.
  • Assists in assuring the department is compliant with the standards of regulatory agencies.
  • Assists Director of Quality & Risk Management, as needed.
  • Is supportive of departmental and hospital goals.
  • Performs special projects for the CFO/COO, CNO, and CEO.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Position Qualifications:

    • Associate’s Degree in Nursing, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
    • A minimum of two years of progressive clinical experience, hospital experience preferred
    • A minimum of one year experience in Quality/Risk/Performance Improvement preferred
    • Current license as a Registered Nurse in Texas.
    • Current BLS
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
    • Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
    • Possess the ability to deal tactfully with physicians as well as with facility employees.
    • Must possess the ability to prioritize responsibilities and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
