TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital is one of Houston’s leading outpatient surgical facilities, built for efficiency, precision, and results. Our high-performing teams support a wide range of surgical specialties in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. We set the bar high — and we expect our staff to meet it. If you’re driven, experienced in healthcare materials, and thrive in a setting where accuracy and urgency matter, we want you here.
We are actively seeking a highly skilled, self-directed Materials Manager Assistant who can step into a demanding environment and keep our supply chain running without interruption. This is not an entry-level role — we’re looking for someone who knows medical supplies, understands how an ASC functions, and can anticipate needs before they become problems. Sterile Processing Technicians with strong materials or instrumentation experience are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of ordering, receiving, and stocking medical and surgical supplies with zero room for error
- Support the Materials Manager by maintaining accurate inventory counts and performing routine cycle audits
- Prepare, track, and follow through on purchase orders, delivery logs, backorders, and inventory adjustments
- Communicate proactively with vendors on deliveries, shortages, pricing, and product substitutions
- Work closely with clinical teams to forecast supply needs and ensure full readiness for daily OR schedules
- Maintain organized, compliant, and efficient storage areas — no exceptions
- Monitor supply usage trends and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising patient care
- Ensure full adherence to hospital, regulatory, and accreditation standards related to materials management
