Medical Assistant, Full time

SurgiCare of Miramar is looking for an experienced Certified Medical Assistant for our Pre-Op / PACU department. The medical assistant  is responsible for coordination of patient care.  Will work directly under the supervision of the Clinical Director and Charge Nurse. Required Skills

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program 
• Minimum 1 year experience in a clinical or hospital setting 
• Ability to recognize, evaluates, solve problems and correct errors.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation
• Ability to care for patients from children to geriatrics
• Basic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideology
