Registered Nurse Clinical Coordinator Bariatric Program at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Trophy Club:

·       Care coordination of the Bariatric program.

·       Oversight of ongoing MBSAQIP compliance and Bariatric program development.

·       Assist in the development and implementation of patient and staff education.

·       Coordination of regularly scheduled multidisciplinary team meetings

·       Coordination of support group meetings for patients who have undergone Bariatric surgery at this facility.

·       Develop and maintain the clinical pathways, protocols and order sets for Bariatric procedures.

·       Act as a liaison between the hospital, Bariatric surgeons and the Bariatric surgeon’s practice.   

 

Qualifications

Education:

·       Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.

·       BSN preferred.

Licensure/Certification:    

·       Current Texas RN License

·       BLS and ACLS required                                                 

Required Experience:

·       Two (2) years’ experience in Peri-Operative care of the Bariatric surgical patient.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·       Ability to work independently with strong decision-making skills.

·       Good organization habits with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.

·       Excellent communication skills with patients, staff and physicians.

·       Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to Bariatric surgical procedures and management of the bariatric surgical patient.

·       Excellent teaching skill

·       Basic knowledge of Quality Improvement ideology
