Hours: M-F, Day Shift

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Prepares appropriate documentation for product returns to vendors.
  2. Transfers products between departments
  3. Receives purchases orders.
  4. Receives products into Materials Management Information System
  5. Stocks storeroom and readies stock for distribution
  6. Verifies and documents all deliveries of supplies, equipment and various goods to the hospital.
  7. Maintains log of departments receiving goods

Required Skills

Position Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  2. One to three (1-3) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

The employee works in a temperature controlled environment.  Candidate must be able to read and speak English fluently, have cognitive skills for math, reading, filing and sterile technique skills.  Vision for near, mid-range, and far accommodation.  Communication skills to deal well with employees, patients, families and physicians.  Hearing for low, medium and high pitch.  Job requires physical ability for long-term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching with reaches above head and below waist.  Job risks include contact with laser and chemicals, lifting of 50-100 pounds, potential for exposure to blood and body fluids (minimal), and exposure to infectious disease.
