USPI North Houston Endoscopy & Surgery is seeking a motivated Patient Care Assistant to join our team. We have 4 OR rooms and 2 treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Colorectal, GI, Pain Management. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day. 

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team at North Houston Endoscopy & Surgery. In this role, you’ll be a key part of our surgical recovery process, assisting clinical staff and providing direct patient support to ensure safe, smooth recoveries after procedures. The ideal candidate brings compassion, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit to our high-performing healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living in the post-operative phase.
  • Provide basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
  • Support the clinical team in maintaining a clean, safe environment.
  • Assist with patient transport, monitoring, and discharge readiness.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and follow established recovery protocols.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Medical Assistant or Certified Nurse Assistant or Patient Care Technician equivalent clinical training preferred.
  • BLS certification required
  • One Year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified.
