Description:
Under the direction of the Business Office Manager, the Collector is responsible for follow up on delinquent surgery center claims, working an expected number of claims per day. Majority of claims will have been submitted to various insurance carriers electronically. Knowledge of how to interpret a managed care contract, Medicare and Medicaid and Workers Compensation claims is a must. 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Prefer minimum of 2 years of patient account billing or payment posting experience is preferred
  • Requires physical presence at our office (non-remote position)
  • Experience with EMR software is helpful but not required
  • Prior experience with EFT cash posting process.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
