Insurance Verifier at Kimel Park Surgery
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Verifier to join our Business Office team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying insurance benefits, authorizations, and pre-certifications to ensure accurate financial and clinical processing. This position is critical in supporting both patient access and the financial health of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits prior to scheduled procedures
- Confirm and obtain authorizations and pre-certifications as required by payers
- Accurately enter and update patient demographic, insurance, and financial information in the system
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies or missing information
- Provide patients with financial responsibility estimates and assist with payment arrangements when appropriate
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory guidelines
- Partner with admissions, billing, and clinical teams to ensure smooth and timely processing
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
- Prior experience in healthcare business office, insurance verification, or medical billing required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and authorization processes preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital, ASC, or physician practice setting strongly preferred.
