Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Business Office Verifier to join our Business Office team. In this role, you will be responsible for verifying insurance benefits, ensuring accuracy of patient demographic and financial information, and supporting the admissions and billing process. This position plays a key role in creating a smooth patient experience and maintaining the financial health of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits prior to scheduled procedures.
- Accurately enter and update patient demographic, insurance, and financial information in the system.
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Confirm authorization and pre-certification requirements are met prior to surgery.
- Assist patients with financial responsibility estimates and payment arrangements when needed.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with the admissions, billing, and clinical teams to ensure accurate and timely processing.

Required Skills

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical record software.
Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
- Prior experience in healthcare business office, insurance verification, or medical billing required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance plans, and authorization processes preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital, ASC, or physician practice setting strongly preferred.
