Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse or RN to join our Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) team. The LPN in this role will play a crucial part in preparing patients for surgery and ensuring that all pre-operative assessments are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments, including medical history review and physical assessments.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document vital signs, allergies, and medication reconciliation.
  • Ensure patient comfort and provide emotional support to alleviate anxiety.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Assist with patient education regarding pre-operative preparations and post-operative care.

Required Skills

  • Valid Nurse license in the state of Tennessee.
  • Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in preoperative and post-anesthesia care is ideal, but willing to train new nurses with a strong work ethic.
  • Advanced IV skills is ideal and proficiency in patient assessment and monitoring.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated stability and longevity in previous roles, with a history of long-term commitment and progression in past positions.
