Business Office Float at Baylor Surgicare at Mansfield:
This role will support various business office functions, including insurance verification, patient registration, scheduling, and billing, ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced setting, is adaptable to changing priorities, and enjoys working collaboratively with both patients and staff.
- Assist with patient registration, insurance verification, and authorizations.
- Support scheduling, front desk reception, and patient check-in/check-out processes.
- Process billing and payments, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
- Communicate with patients regarding insurance benefits, financial responsibilities, and payment options.
- Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient flow.
- Follow up on outstanding authorizations, claims, and patient balances.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality.
- Provide backup support for other business office functions as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field is a plus.
- Strong understanding of insurance verification, authorizations, and medical billing procedures.
- Knowledge of payer guidelines, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and insurance verification tools.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in healthcare administration, insurance verification, billing, or front desk operations preferred.
