We are seeking a PRN Medical Technologist to join our Laboratory team. This role is essential to ensuring accurate, timely diagnostic results that directly support patient safety, surgical outcomes, and clinical decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical laboratory testing in compliance with CLIA, TJC, and CAP standards
- Conduct correlation studies, linearity checks, and quality control monitoring to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results
- Analyze and summarize test results for review and approval by the Lab Manager
- Perform Point of Care Testing (POCT) accurately and efficiently
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment, including routine maintenance and problem resolution
- Order reagents and manage supply inventory to support uninterrupted laboratory operations
- Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets for data reporting and quality tracking
- Provide exceptional service to patients, physicians, and staff, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills
- Detect and interpret color changes and other visual indicators in testing procedures
- Recommend laboratory supplies or equipment to enhance efficiency and program quality
- Ensure compliance with governmental and regulatory policies and standards
- Qualifications
- Two- or four-year degree in Laboratory Science or related field
- Current registration with ASCP or equivalent required
- Minimum of 1–2 years of laboratory experience in an accredited laboratory or hospital environment
- Experience with Point of Care Testing (POCT)
- Knowledge of governmental and regulatory standards, including CLIA, TJC, and CAP

Required Experience
- Minimum of 1–2 years of hands-on experience in an accredited laboratory or hospital setting

- Familiarity with CLIA, TJC, and CAP regulations and standards
- Experience maintaining laboratory instruments, tracking supplies, and documenting test results accurately
