Providence Summit Surgery Center has an opening for a full time Medical Assistant

At Providence Summit Surgery Center, we provide first-class surgical services for local communities and recognize our employees as our number one asset.  We focus on offering a high quality, ambulatory care alternative to a hospital for surgical procedures. We have been in operation at this location since 1985 and perform over 6,000 surgeries per year. Multi-specialty areas include ENT, GI Lab, General Surgery, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Oral Surgery and Urology.

 

 

What You Will Do (Job Summary)

Help nursing staff with vital signs, patient positioning, ambulating, transfers and transport. Assist in stocking, disinfecting and data input in Recovery Room. 

 

Monday-Friday work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

Pay range is $24.00 - $28.00 depending on experience


Required Skills

 

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of Medical Assistant or Nurses Aide training program.   Certification a plus. 
  • At least 1 year patient care experience.    
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.  Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.  
  • Excellent teaching and interpersonal skills
  • Clinical responsibilities and departmental housekeeping
  • Ability to follow directions and perform multiple tasks
