We are currently seeking a dedicated and team-focused Operating Room (OR) Charge Nurse to support our surgical services department. This role plays a key part in coordinating daily operations, supporting staff, and ensuring patients receive safe, high-quality care in alignment with hospital standards and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide clinical guidance and serve as a resource for pre-op, intra-op, and PACU nursing teams
  • Oversee patient flow to ensure timely, efficient care delivery
  • Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and leadership to support departmental goals
  • Monitor patient care standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Support staff education, training, and ongoing competency development
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing assignments, and daily operational needs
  • Act as a mentor and role model, fostering a supportive and engaged team culture
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation requirements

Required Skills

Required Experience

  • Current RN license in the state of Texas (required)
  • Minimum of 3 years perioperative nursing experience (required)
  • Previous leadership or charge nurse experience in an OR setting (preferred)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
  • CNOR certification (preferred)
