Orlando Ophthalmology Surgery Center is a busy eye-only surgery center located near the Orlando Health Downtown Campus. The Preadmission Nurse (PAT RN) has the responsibility for organizing and directing activities in accordance with nursing standards, Medicare, and all other applicable federal, state, and local guidelines. PAT RN may assume the following PAT responsibilities: contact, by way of telephone, all patients before surgery to assess medical and medication history and provide preadmission teaching. The RN can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult, through geriatrics.
Required Skills
Qualification, Experience, and Education requirements
•Graduate of an approved school of nursing
•Currently licensed in the state
•CPR and ACLS required
•Minimum of one year of experience in an ambulatory surgery center
•Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) experience preferred
•Excellent customer service experience is a must
•Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred
•Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
•Physically and emotionally capable of performing the responsibilities of the position.
