Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Pinecroft is seeking a Patient Service Representative to join our outstanding front office team.
Located in The Woodlands, TX, our center is a partnership between physicians and United Surgical Partners International, and is proudly affiliated with Memorial Hermann Health System. We specialize in providing high-quality outpatient surgical care in a comfortable, efficient setting. Our team is committed to delivering excellent patient experiences from check-in to recovery — and it all starts at the front desk.
About the Role
As a Patient Service Representative (PSR), you’ll be the friendly face that welcomes patients and families to our center. This role plays a critical part in ensuring a smooth and positive experience, from registration through discharge. You'll handle patient check-ins, insurance verification, payments, and administrative support with a calm and professional approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm, professional demeanor
- Check patients in and out of appointments and procedures
- Verify insurance benefits and collect copays or balances as needed
- Accurately enter patient information into the electronic system
- Answer incoming calls and route messages appropriately
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient information
- Collaborate with clinical and business office staff to support smooth daily operations

Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using computer systems and scheduling software
- Professional, empathetic, and courteous demeanor
Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office, registration, or front desk role preferred
- Knowledge of insurance verification and prior authorizations is a plus
- Familiarity with EMR systems is helpful (e.g., NextGen, Cerner, Epic, etc.)
