Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Brazoria, located in Lake Jackson, Texas, is a premier outpatient surgery center committed to providing high-quality, safe, and patient-focused care. As part of the Memorial Hermann Health System and United Surgical Partners International (USPI), we specialize in a wide range of surgical procedures while maintaining exceptional clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.

We are seeking a full-time Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our perioperative team. This role is perfect for a nurse who enjoys providing compassionate, detail-oriented care to patients recovering from anesthesia in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess patients in the post-anesthesia care unit following surgery
  • Administer medications, manage IVs, and provide interventions as necessary to ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to coordinate patient care
  • Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery instructions
  • Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner according to policies and regulations
  • Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety, and quality standards
  • Assist with patient transfers and prepare PACU for incoming patients

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current Texas RN license
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent nursing experience in PACU, PreOp, or critical care setting preferred
  • Strong patient assessment, IV, and medication administration skills

Required Experience

  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and accurate clinical documentation
