Operating Room Assistant at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare Mansfield:
- Preparing and maintaining endoscopic equipment before, during, and after procedures
- Maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as needed
- Ensuring all equipment is sterilized and adhering to infection control standards
- Ensuring compliance with all facility policies and procedures
- Continuous learning about new technology and advancements in endoscopy procedures
- Assisting physicians during endoscopic procedures
- Collecting and processing specimens as required
- Technician will assist with the turn-over & set-up of operating rooms.
- Technician will transport patients as needed.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- PCT, CNA, medical assistant, EMT or any other medical experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work as a team player
- Experience in the medical field required
- Must be conscientious, self-motivated, organized and possess the ability to multi-task.
- Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.
