Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Center Cypress, located in Cypress, Texas, is a premier outpatient facility dedicated to providing exceptional gastrointestinal care in a patient-focused environment. As part of the Memorial Hermann Health System and United Surgical Partners International (USPI), we specialize in advanced endoscopic procedures with a commitment to safety, efficiency, and clinical excellence.
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Full-time GI Technician to join our endoscopy team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly collaborative, and committed to supporting physicians and nurses in delivering safe and effective care to patients undergoing GI procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare procedure rooms, ensuring all necessary supplies, equipment, and instruments are available and functioning properly
- Assist physicians and nurses during endoscopic procedures by anticipating needs and providing appropriate instruments and supplies
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain endoscopes and related equipment in compliance with infection control standards and manufacturer guidelines
- Handle specimens properly, labeling and transporting them according to protocols
- Monitor and restock supplies in procedure and recovery areas to maintain readiness
- Support patient care by ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the procedure process
- Collaborate with the clinical team to promote smooth workflow and positive patient outcomes
- Adhere to regulatory, accreditation, and infection prevention standards at all times

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of endoscopic equipment handling, cleaning, and maintenance
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols in a clinical environment
- Ability to anticipate physician and nurse needs during procedures
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling and documentation
Required Experience
- Previous experience as a GI Technician, Endoscopy Technician, or related clinical support role preferred
- Experience cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining endoscopic equipment strongly desired
- Background in a surgery center, hospital, or GI/endoscopy setting preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a GI/Endoscopy Technician a plus
