We are currently seeking a personable, detail-oriented Full-time Registration Clerk to join our Business Office team. The ideal candidate is highly organized, enjoys interacting with patients and families, and ensures that all registration and admission processes are handled accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Register patients for surgical and outpatient procedures by verifying demographics, insurance, and required documentation
  • Obtain signatures for consent forms and financial agreements while ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, or outstanding balances at the time of registration in accordance with hospital policies
  • Enter and update patient information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system with precision
  • Answer and direct phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide clear information regarding appointments or services
  • Work closely with clinical and business office staff to ensure a smooth registration and admissions process
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations at all times

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and documentation
  • Professional demeanor and ability to provide compassionate customer service
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required

Required Experience

  • Previous experience in patient registration, admissions, or front office clerical work preferred
  • Knowledge of insurance verification, billing processes, or medical terminology a plus
  • Healthcare setting experience strongly desired
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional medical office or healthcare administration training a plus
