OR Support Associate at Surgi-Center of Central VA:
Provides essential non-clinical support to the operating room, including positioning, equipment, maintaining a clean organized surgical environment. This role assist the surgical team by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready and the operating room is maintained for efficient and safe procedures.
- Key responsibilities: Patient care in respect to positioning patient for OR procedures. A strong understanding of sterile technique, OR room procedures, and patient safety protocols is crucial.
- Room Setup: Preparing the OR by arranging instruments, supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
- Environmental Maintenance: Keeping OR clean and organized to ensure a sterile and efficient environment.
- Supply Management: Managing surgical instruments, equipment, and other necessary supplies within the OR.
- Team support: Providing overall support to the surgical team, contributing to a collaborative efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Current CPR or BLS. CNA, MA or other certifications preferred
- Demonstrates necessary clinical competency
