PRN Certified Sterile Processing Tech

Haymarket Surgery Center is a multi-specialty outpatient surgery center that is committed to patient excellence in every facet of patient contact. We are seeking an experienced sterile processing tech to join our team. 

The Sterile Processing Technician, SPD, maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications

•       High School Diploma or Equivalent
•       Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience
•       Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred
•        Experience with all types of sterilizers
•        Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures
•        Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items
•        Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
