TOPS Comprehensive Breast Center, a part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI), is seeking an experienced and compassionate Breast Center Nurse Navigator to join our dedicated care team. Our center provides comprehensive breast health services, including screening, diagnostics, and coordination of care for patients with benign and malignant breast conditions.

The Nurse Navigator plays a pivotal role in guiding patients through their breast health journey — from initial screening to diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care. This role requires strong clinical skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians, radiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients navigating breast health services.
  • Provide education, emotional support, and resources to patients and families throughout the diagnostic and treatment process.
  • Coordinate scheduling for imaging, biopsies, consultations, and surgical procedures.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, referring physicians, and the multidisciplinary care team.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on abnormal results and patient concerns.
  • Document all patient interactions and care plans accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Assist in developing and implementing patient care protocols to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and breast program development.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • BLS certification required; Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) or Breast Health Navigator Certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of breast health, oncology principles, and related diagnostic/treatment protocols.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and patient advocacy skills.

Required Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in oncology, women’s health, or breast care.
  • Experience in patient navigation, care coordination, or case management strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with breast imaging modalities, biopsy procedures, and surgical coordination.
