Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Memorial Village is a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center located in Houston, Texas, offering patients access to high-quality surgical care in a comfortable, outpatient setting. As part of the Memorial Hermann Health System and United Surgical Partners International (USPI), we are committed to delivering safe, efficient, and personalized surgical experiences.

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-focused Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our collaborative OR team. If you thrive in a fast-paced surgical environment and enjoy being a key player in successful patient outcomes, we’d love to meet you.


Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
  • Ensure the sterile field is maintained and all surgical equipment is properly prepared
  • Anticipate needs of the surgical team to promote efficient and safe operations
  • Support room turnover, equipment sterilization, and instrument readiness
  • Maintain accurate count of instruments, sponges, and sharps
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards
  • Collaborate with circulating nurses and anesthesia staff for seamless patient care
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain current certifications
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with all facility policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through NBSTSA required
  • High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
  • Prior experience in an operating room setting, preferably in a multi-specialty or ASC environment
  • Strong understanding of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and OR procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and quality standards

Required Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
  • Current CST certification required
  • BLS certification required
  • 1+ years of experience in an operating room setting preferred
  • Familiarity with a range of specialties such as Orthopedics, ENT, GI, Ophthalmology, and General Surgery is a plus
