North Central Surgical Center is seeking a qualified Clinical Director of Post-Surgical Unit (PSU), ED & Float Pool. 

The Clinical Director of PSU, ED & Float Pool is responsible for all emergency and inpatient departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The supervisor helps identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers expectation. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors. The Clinical Director works under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer. The Clinical Director identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The Clinical Director works with Chief Nursing Officer and Senior Management in meeting Facility goals and takes patient assignments as needed to meet census demands and fluctuations.


Required Skills

  • Graduate of professional school of nursing. BSN required, MSN preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in Medical/Surgical or Critical Care nursing.
  • Minimum two (2) years managerial experience
  • Current Texas RN License,
  • BLS
  • Must obtain ACLS and PALS by 90 days of hire.
  • Knowledge of TDSHS, CMS and Joint Commission standards.
  • Ability to make independent sound nursing and management decisions.
  • Liaison between staff and administration.
