The RN House Supervisor is responsible for promoting and maintaining quality patient care through effective management of nurses and staff each shift. Participates in direct care of I patients and performs multiple managerial duties such as staff scheduling, staffing assignments for patient care, and bed assignments each shift, a resourceful leader to staff and always works as a team member within the entire facility.  Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Serves as clinical and managerial resource for staff. Serves as administration after hours.
  • Maintains knowledge of medications, equipment, expected patient outcomes post-surgery/recovery, rehab and anticipated complications. Demonstrates critical thinking ability.
  • Coordinates staffing to ensure quality patient care.
  • Displays strong problem solving skills.
  • Acts to protect and advance patient’s best interest.
  • Satisfactorily demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description as well as continually demonstrates competency in performing the job duties.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Current Registered Nurse Licensure with the State of Oklahoma required.
  • Minimum of one year experience in Med-Surg, Emergency, or ICU preferred.
  • BLS Healthcare required within 30 days of hire.  
  • ACLS and PALS required within 120 days of hire.
