At Baylor Surgicare, we focus on offering a high quality, ambulatory care alternative to a hospital for surgical procedures. We have been in operation at this location since 1985 and perform over 8,000 surgeries per year. Specialty areas include ENT, GI Lab, General Surgery, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Oral Surgery and Oculoplastics.

Sterile Processing Tech at Baylor Surgicare

The Sterile Processing Technician maintains and cares for all surgical instruments. Prepares supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications

·       High School Diploma or Equivalent

·       Minimum of 1-2 years of Sterile Processing experience

·       Completion of a Sterile Process Certification program is preferred

·       Experience with all types of sterilizers

·       Knowledge of operating room instrumentation and procedures

·       Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items

·       Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions of the patient when needed
